Bringing out the best in teams can be challenging, but the payoff can be game changing. The team building work I do is often based on the work of Patrick Lencioni and his best-selling book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. The foundation of this process is a powerful set of data that comes from the team members themselves. Each team member provides anonymous input via an online surbey regarding the degree to which the team is currently exhibiting productive behaviors that relate to each critical aspect of teamwork. They also take an interpersonal style assessment based on DiSC. Each person then gets a report that shows the consolidated team results and their individual style insights. Using this information and critical team experiences, we can identify the highest leverage items that will improve the team’s ability to deliver exceptional results.

In addition, this content can be delivered in a workshop format to groups of people who may or may not be part of the same intact team. In this scenario, the workshop focuses on concepts, exercises, and practical tips on team membership and team leadership. The workshop includes a DiSC assessment for each person, so they are able to leverage those insights in multiple ways.

United Airlines recently brought Amy onsite to conduct The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team to focus on a need for alignment within a team that had grown just over 400% in size over the past two years. Once onsite, Amy provided a learning environment that felt more group dialogue than workshop training. In just two short days she was able to help this team move the needle in a way that for months prior had seemed nearly impossible. I credit much of that to her warm, compassionate style of connecting with each learner in the room in a meaningful way. I highly recommend Amy and her services. Especially in the arena of team development and The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.
